Losing Your Job Doesn’t Have to Mean Living without Health Insurance

Losing a job is hard enough, but many people are hit with a second loss—the termination of their health benefits.

That’s happening to more and more Americans, with the national unemployment rate rising from 4.9 percent in December 2007 to 7.2 percent one year later.

If you’re in this dilemma, there are ways to continue your health insurance or find new insurance. The Pennsylvania Department of Insurance has created a flyer detailing seven sources of insurance for those who have lost their employer-sponsored health coverage.

Download the flyer below to find out if you qualify for any of these options and learn how to apply for them.
